Beast of Blairadam cont...

No sign of the beast! There were a couple of dodgy-looking gypsy types lurking about the carpark though. I was a little disappointed we didn't see any big cats actually :( I mean, I know I would have run a mile if one had slunk across the path infront of us, but still. Did get some other lovely photos though, and Stuart has discovered his love for Macro photography and has become a camera hogger!

Ruddon's point

Took a trip to Shell bay and Ruddon's point today through the pine forest behind the caravan park. Intended to try and find one of the geocache sites without a GPS as I knew that it was in an area of old bricks. I couldn't find it though. To be honest I didn't really know what I was looking for!
Did get a few good photos though, of course!

Beast of Blairadam

I have discovered Geocaching! Going in search of a cache tomorrow in Blairadam forest, near Kelty. Rumour has it there is a large black panther-type cat getting about in the woods. Hopefully get it on camera! For now, here's a photo I took of my (less sizeable) cat, Jenny, while she was chillaxing on the windowsill.

Chasing the sunset...again

Another gorgeous sunset tonight. This time I still had the slippers and pyjamas on, but I was also sporting a furry hat with ear-flaps. It's what all the photographers are wearing, honest!
I got some great photos though. Tried out my panoramic mode again and got this one!

Devilla Forest

Yesterday, I made the mistake of not fully charging my camera batteries before going out.

Stuart and I went to Devilla Forest, near Kincardine, for a leisurely stroll through the woods (actually ended up with soaking jeans from all the wet vegetation, quite unpleasant. I need to invest in a pair of gaters).

We walked down the "red squirrel trail"...not sure why they named it that, there was not a single squirrel to be seen! They must have been sheltering from the rain! Luckily there weren't any as I would have been gutted if I'd missed a photo-op because of batteries being dud!

Did manage to get this photo of Stu before the batteries gave up the ghost. Think it might have been worth it. He looks very good in his hiking boots and woolly socks, don't you think? :-)

Will have to make a return trip to Devilla Forest when I have adequate battery power and maybe when the weather is a little nicer!

Chasing the sunset

I had been in my bed a good 10 minutes last night before I heard my mother shouting me and telling me there was an amazing sky and that I should take photos. So I got up and went down the lane wearing my pyjamas, slippers and my ski jacket. Then we decided we could get better photos if we got in the car and chased the sunset over the hill. Got this from the A915 at Wester Newburn, looking North-west. Beautiful!

Toadally awesome

My mum told me there is a friendly toad in the garden of the holiday cottage that she cleans. It apparently kept trying to get into the house while she was cleaning it. We went over there early to take some photos and this is what I got...
